I cannot play the game on windows 7 because when I launch the WindomXP.exe I get a startup error. I tried installing it again but it didn't fix the problem. I bought the game from Direct2Drive.

Hello bluesage,

Currently, Operating system Windom XP supports are Windows XP/Vista.
Can you tell me what Windows 7 is?

Also, if you have purchased through D2D, please contact D2D customer support.

Thank you, and I hope this problem get resolved Sad

When I went to direct2drive they said I might need to go to the developer, which I don't know how to contact. Undecided I'm guessing I'm experiencing this problem because I'm using Windows 7 Build 7100, and not XP or Vista.

ps. Windows 7 is Microsoft's new OS that they're releasing October 22, 2009. I have links to more info below.

Hello bluesage,

Ah, okey, thank you for letting me know.
Unfortunately we only support XP and Vista at this time and I am afraid this could be due to the version of OS.

Do you have other machines that have our suggested OS?

We are  very sorry we could not be much of help here... Sad

Hey, There might be a possible solution to the problem and you won't need to change your OS. There is a official emulator for Windows 7, it is "Windows Virtual PC" or for non-windows 7 users "Microsoft Virtual PC". "Windows Virtual PC" is free for windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions. I am not sure it will work but it is a try. You can find more about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Virtual_PC. I hope this will solve your problem. Good Luck!  Smiley

I also have this issue... the most saddest thing, that trial version from official site works perfectly on Windows 7  Embarrassed

P.S.
VirtualPC or XPmode will not helps since they can't run 3D applications.
